Everyone needs a good snack and for me this is it! There are three reasons why I think so: one because they’re easy to make, secondly because they’ve got wholesome ingredients fit for everyday consumption and finally because they are delicious. Modelled after a Swedish sweet treat often eaten by kids during fika time the humble chocolate ball it would be difficult for them to to be delicious really.

Oats. desiccated coconut, walnuts and dates make up the base for the balls that I then flavour with cocoa powder and a dash of coffee. The coffee flavour doesn’t really come through much but instead it helps intensify the rich chocolate flavour.

Lately Rob and I have been rekindling our love for these bliss balls and I just had to share them with you. We can’t get enough and I hope you’ll like them at least half as much as we do!
