ANOTHER DAY IN DUBAI VLOG + WHAT I ATE

Hi Guys,

I hope you're all feeling the spring vibes. Here in Dubai it seems to be getting hotter by the minute, although we had a cloudy day filming this vlog. I'm sorry I haven't posted any new recipes for you since leaving Sweden but it's been difficult finding time to try new things and/or make and photograph the dishes. We've also been busy with work on some days. I hope these Dubai vlogs make up for the absence of actual recipes and are good stand ins for food inspiration.Read more

A DAY IN DUBAI VLOG + WHAT I ATE

Hi Guys,

Rob and I have been in Dubai for two weeks and a couple of days now. We're working and enjoying the sun and Rob's parents. Last Thursday we decided to film a Dubai vlog for you guys and took some time off from editing photos and videos. We had a great day exploring Alserkal Avenue in an area called Al Quoz here in Dubai. It's an artsy hub with lots of galleries but we went there to try the food at Wild and the Moon.Read more

WHAT I ATE TODAY + AMY CHAPLIN'S PUY LENTIL SOUP + FAVOURITE COOKBOOKS

Hi Guys,

As it's quite late this Saturday evening here in Sweden as I'm writing this I'll keep it brief. I hope that's okay! You see, in two days I'll be heading to Dubai for work and to visit Rob's parents and I have an awful lot to do before we go, to make sure I have some exciting things to share with you whilst I'm away. One of those things I hope will be up before this month ends and it is a breakfast e-book I've been working on which will be free to those of you who'd like to sign up to my future subscription list, so keep your eyes peeled if you'd like some morning inspiration. But enough about that for now and let's focus on the new What I Ate Today vlog that just went up on my youtube channel.Read more

GREEN SMOOTHIE SWEET W/ APPLE + KIWI

Good Morning,

After spending time with some friends the weekend before last I've gotten back into smoothies. Each morning at their house we would have a concoction of fruits and vegetables blended up with apple juice and this is what sparked my smoothie-urge. I also really enjoyed blending the smoothie with apple juice instead of water or plant milk as it added a nice sweetness. Although it's probably the healthiest to blend it up with just water I'm going to treat myself to an apple whizzed sweet green smoothie now and again.Read more

BUTTERNUT SQUASH BROWN RICE-OTTO W/ MARINATED MUSHROOMS

Hello Guys,

This post has been a few more days in the making than planned but I'm finally back in this space sharing with you. And it feels good! This past week and a bit I've been back in my hometown spending time with family and friends and coming up at the end of this month and the next there will be more of that as Rob and I head to Dubai again to work and stay with his folks. Speaking of Rob it's his birthday tomorrow and his 'Hungarian birthday' tonight, because in Hungary where his mother originates from they celebrate the night before the actual day, so wish him a happy birthday! But enough of this and that let's talk about the butternut squash rice-otto.Read more

FEBRUARY SEASONAL CHART + BOWL W/ CHEESY KALE SALAD AND CHICKPEA CROUTONS

Hello Everyone,

It's time to talk about seasons again since we've swapped months from January to Februare. I hope you've all had a fantastic start to the new year! Personally I've had a fast and slow start as my motivations have fluctuated with the weather that mainly seems stuck in grey mode. I'm longing for sunny skies and warmer breezes. At the same time I'm trying to apply myself to the tasks I've given myself and stay present in the now. A lot going on there really and let's just say I've had mixed result in my ambitions so far. And that's okay! Now let's talk about the cheesy kale salad because that's were the money's at as far as this post goes.Read more

HOME TOUR + WHAT'S IN MY FRIDGE

Happy Saturday Everyone,

After getting some requests from you guys I have made a home tour showing you where I live and how we have decorated the house we rent. It's been seven months now since we moved to the Swedish countryside and we have just agreed with our landlords to continue renting. So far it's been very different from our previous lifestyle living in London and I do feel that I have more of a chance to focus in on projects and have gained clarity to carry them through being here. It's also a wonderful thing that we have taken the time to drive to nature reserves and other places where we can experience nature's wonders which is something we didn't often do before.  Read more

VEGAN OFF THE PLATE + WHAT I ATE TODAY + PEANUT BUTTER BEAN PATTIES

Hi Guys,

Here comes my last 'what I ate' vlog for this month and the finish of my vegan tips and talks series started at the beginning of January. I hope some of you have been trying more vegan foods and plant based recipes to start this new year of ours and that my offerings here on the blog have been inspiring in doing so. I've talked about vegan beginner tips, being vegan going out and on the go as well as given you an insight to what vegan staples I keep my kitchen stocked with. This weekend I want to share some things we can do as vegans past what we put on our plate and talk about four things that I think we encounter at the beginning of veganism or as we start to branch into vegan ways. You can hear me talk about these four points in the video and I'll be sharing some resources below for more information and tips for going vegan off the plate as an extension to changing your eating habits.Read more

VEGAN PANNA COTTA W/ TAHINI + CARDAMOM

Sweet Wednesday to you all,

Last weekend Rob and I had to sets of new found friends over for dinner on separate nights and I decided to try my hand at vegan panna cotta for the first time. It turned out the success and having tested it on said friends I'm excited to share it with you today. This vegan panna cotta is flavoured with tahini and cardamom as well as vanilla and lemon zest. It doesn't have the very exact consistency that I remember panna cotta as but it's certainly close and delicious nonetheless so don't worry about it being slightly different from the original.Read more
